Did you complete the Cherokee Syllabary Course and now you’re looking for something to read?
Are you ready to continue your study of reading & writing Cherokee?
Are you interested in learning new Cherokee words?
After completing "Let’s Learn Cherokee Syllabary" what is the next step? Learning to read and write the Cherokee syllabary is the first building block in Simply Cherokee’s catalogue of tools for learning to read, write, and speak the Cherokee language. The next step in our program is to put together individual syllabary in a way that forms Cherokee words. Many words can change in meaning depending upon how they are pronounced. Just one syllable change can alter the entire meaning of the word or phrase. There are some words that don’t change: numbers and number related words such as counting, dates and money. This book will teach you some simple noun words. You can hear each of these words pronounced using the "Official Word List" link at www. Simplycherokee.com.
